Alison Sidney

Director Strategic Initiatives, Community Foundations of Canada

Alison is a dynamic personality who’s passionate about sustainable development and its connection to community. As Director of Strategic Initiatives, Alison is particularly focused on leading Vital Signs, a national initiative designed to measure the impact of community foundations across the country.

She draws on a wealth of past experience, including time spent at Elections Canada supporting field staff in every electoral district across the country during the 42nd General Election, as well as leading campaign outreach and raising awareness for the Toronto-based charity Environmental Defence. Alison has also worked with Ecology Ottawa as its Council Watch Coordinator, monitoring decisions made by municipal government and analyzing the impact of those decisions on local communities.
